Marie Dumoulin has been Ambassador of France to Bulgaria since September 2025.
Previous positions: Wider Europe Programme Director, European Council on Foreign Relations (November 2021 – August 2025); Deputy Director for Russia and Eastern Europe, Directorate for Continental Europe (2018–2021); Analyst at the Centre for Strategy, Analysis and Policy Planning, French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (2016–2018); exchange diplomat seconded to the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2015–2016); Political Counsellor at the French Embassy in Berlin (2013–2015); Second Counsellor at the French Embassy in Algiers (2009–2013); Desk Officer, Directorate for Continental Europe (2004–2007).
