About the talk

Talk DescriptionA hands-on workshop on AI-driven fraud, deepfake content and social engineering that target trust and business processes within organisations. Participants will work through a realistic scenario involving fake communication, an urgent financial request and AI-assisted identity impersonation. Together we will analyse where traditional protection mechanisms may fall short and which checks would break the attack. At the end, we will build a short, practical model for verifying and approving sensitive business actions.
Key TakeawaysAI makes social engineering more convincing, more personalised and harder to recognise. Technical controls on their own are not enough when the attack targets trust and the business process. For sensitive actions, both the identity and the request itself must be verified independently. Independent verification, trusted communication channels and dual approval significantly reduce the risk. A secure business process must stay resilient even when a fake voice, video or message looks completely authentic.
