Associate Professor, Molecular Biology & Biochemistry @ Medical University Varna

Assoc. Prof. Oskan B. Tasinov is a molecular biologist, with specialty in biochemistry and researcher at the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" in Varna, Bulgaria. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry (2015) and an MSc in Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies from Plovdiv University, following a BSc from Sofia University. Since 2023, he has been an Associate Professor.
His research focuses on oxidative stress, inflammation, insulin resistance, and molecular biomarkers in colorectal cancer, applying advanced methods such as qPCR, ELISA, and transcriptomic analysis. He has extensive experience in studying the biological effects of medicinal plants and cytotoxic agents, as well as gene expression in clinical and cell line experimental models.
Assoc. Prof. Tasinov has completed international specializations across Europe and is an active member of leading scientific organizations, including FEBS and NuGO. He has received multiple awards recognizing his contributions to biomedical research.
